Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young - Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young Month Celebration Copy download free

I just listened to side one of this interesting collection. So good!! Except some brainiac at Atlantic faded out 'Military Madness' before the great, wailing final chorus of Merry Clayton, Rita Coolidge, etc, singing 'no more war' in favor of a lengthy outro sax solo on 'Bluebird Revisited'...Would have preferred one more minute of MM to the final minute of Still's song. Still, hearing "Simple Man," "Music is Love' and "Orleans"is ALWAYS the right thing...Interesting and wise that they didn't use "Suite:Judy Blue Eyes" since it's on so many different records. (Better to hear "Bluebird Revisited" again, really.) I wish it was "Ohio" from the single instead of the 'live' "4 Way Street" but that's a minor complaint. Only the Military Madness thing is a bit..maddening. They left out the best part in place of a very average sax thing, in my opinion. Lve these 4 guys when they played together. Neil is always rockin' but "Songs for Beginners" and "If I Could Only" are probably my 'other' favorite solo works by these people, largely under-rated and absolutely wonderful. A fun swap meet find that I never knew existed. (I was 11 years old when I saw them play at the Greek Theatre in Hollywood a couple weeks after Woodstock '69 with Joni Mitchell opening. Huge fan for life. Where is Stephen Stills lately though??
