This is simply an incredible album, Memphis Slim's piano playing, singing and songwriting are first rate, and Matt 'Guitar' Murphy absolutely kills on this session. Note that while copies of this album may have a stereo sticker affixed to the cover, the mix is definitely the original mono release. Killer biography of Memphis Slim in the liner notes by Studs Terkel, featuring quotes from Alan Lomax. Well worth seeking out!
